Happy Halloween!

This year I searched and searched for something cute that Isabella and Jackson could dress as for our fall festivals.  I finally landed on....
The Princess and The Pea! =)

We also ventured out to Chick-fil-A family night and joined all the other Pirates and Princesses...

Bella went to a fall festival with She-She and got to ride a horse...she insisted on doing it all by her self!)
 Fall is soo much fun!!!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Little Man!

I can't believe our little handsome is 6 months....1/2 of a year already!!  I know I say that every month...but it's true!  Time is flying by way, way, way too fast!  Every month gets more and more exciting as Jackson's little personality continues to develop.  He surprises us everyday with the new things he's learned and his cute little facial expressions.

He has mastered rolling over...in fact he has become quite the rolly-polly!  He tries to keep up with Bella by rolling wherever she is. =)  I decided a month or so ago that we needed to work on sitting up.  So, I sat him up and placed pillows all around him...assuming that he would just topple right over.  Well, he surprised me!  He just sat up and looked at me as though he'd been sitting up forever!  That strong little booger.  So, he rolls...he sits...and he loves to just sit and play with toys.  He especially likes when Bella sits next to him and plays with him.  He is becoming more and more interactive every day.  His little giggle is so contagious!  He is super ticklish under his chin, in his little neck creases and on his inner thighs.  Just takes a quick little tickle and he is cackling away!
His favorite thing to sleep with is his little blue lovey...I lay him down in his crib (I know!!  I finally succumb to "the crib") and put his lovey on his face and he just strokes it and dozes right off. =)  Speaking of the crib, he is officially 100% in his crib!  He naps in the morning for about 2 hours and in the afternoons for about 2 hours....then sleeps in the crib at night!  He usually wakes once to nurse.  If it's in the early morning hours, I usually just snuggle with him in my bed til time to start our day! =)  He hasn't officially said his first word yet BUT it's gonna be any day now!  He's said a few mumbles recently where I've thought, "wait...did he just say mamma!?"  It's coming!!!  He still only nurses...we tried cereal a month go and he just didn't take to it!  He kept spitting it out and it was a struggle to get any of it from the spoon to his belly SO we'll probably try that again soon.  He just loves to nurse...you know the "good" stuff.  I did, however, discover his first tooth popping up yesterday!  SO sweet!  It's his left front tooth!  Just in time to bite into some Thanksgiving turkey. =)
He continues to have such a sweet, laid back disposition.  He loves everyone and is such a little charmer!

Fall Festivities!

We have enjoyed various fall festivities this year!  Last week, we headed over to spend time celebrating a friend's birthday!  Before heading out, Bella wanted a few pictures with her pumpkin!=)

Here is Jackson and his little friend Polly!  They were too cute little "punkins!"

I love these two...they are my little sweetie pies!

We headed out to the high school fall retreat last weekend!  Jackson and Bella sure enjoyed some extra attention!

The weather was absolutely gorgeous!  Jackson loved napping and just spending time enjoying the beautiful fall weather!

Bella loved going on her first sailboat ride with Jeremy!  She was in awe of the "big boat!"

We joined the many others in our community for dinner at Chick-fil-A last night..."Princess and Pirate Night"......fun was had by all!

Fall is Here!

This morning, we ventured out to "Holland's Farm"...about 20 minutes from our house!  I've always heard fun things about it...but have never been out there to see it for myself!  So, we made a morning of it together and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!  It was definitely a good idea to go during the week because we had our choice of pumpkins as well as the entire place to ourselves! =)

Bella has been infatuated with scarecrows this year...she thinks they are snowmen...so funny!

We loved the "Corn Box"...so much fun for all of us to play in!

Jackson tried to sneak a few corn kernels.....that little rascal!

Rolling in the corn!

SO much fall fun!

Love this little guy!

Fun Fun!

Then Bella enjoyed riding on the "horses"...

We loaded up the babies in the wagon and headed out to find our two special pumpkins!

Bella picked her very own...

Daddy helped...

She was loving life!

We saw pretty sunflowers that were very, very tall!

Bella loved the hay maze, feeding the goats and petting the bunnies!

5 months!!!

Bella sure does love her little brother!

This month Jackson transitioned to sleeping in his crib...and no more swaddle!

He loves his exersaucer!  He's in that stage where he moves from one activity to the next!  Swing, exersaucer, floor gym, bumbo......

He's ready to crawl!  He's just gotta figure out how to GO! =)

Jackson LOVES all the sweet attention from his big sis!  Bella loves to read to him...and pretend she is mommy!

He tried swinging for the first time this month....and LOVES it!

Jackson prefers to be right in the middle of whatever we are doing!  He loves watching Bella do her projects...

He's no long in one place.....he's on the move!

AND he found his feet!  YAY!
He continues to be the sweetest most layed back baby EVER known to man!  Haha!  I just fall more in love with this little guy every day!  He loves to coo....and talk to us....he especially loves when we blow on his bare belly or under his neck....he giggles and giggles and squeals!  It's so so fun!  He is a little chunker....and I love every bit of his chubs!  More to love for sure!  Like I said earlier, he is transitioning to his crib!  He usually takes 2 naps a day.....the first nap is usually in the stroller on our jog.  We run and then let him finish his nap while Bella and I play in the yard. =)  This weather is so perfect!  He usually takes his afternoon nap in the swing.....which he will sleep for 2+ hours.....Yay!  But, he's about to out grow sleeping comfortably in the swing so in to the crib he will nap...very soon!  At night, he goes right to sleep in his bed....
He pretty much just goes along with the flow of our day....the only thing that seems to bother him is the car.  He's not a huge fan of being strapped in a car seat.....but as long as he's full...or can see mommy's face he is fine.  We just started rice cereal this week...usually twice a day.  He loves it!  I'm hoping that adding some calories to his daily intake will help him not wake at night hungry!

Schedule:

7-8ish  Wake/Nurse
9:30     Nap (usually in stroller)
10:30   Wake/Nurse
12:00   Cereal
1:30     Nurse/Nap
4:30     Nurse
7:00     Nurse/Cereal/Nurse
8:00     Bed

(Usually wakes to nurse 2 times......chows down then goes right back to sleep!)

Road trip to meet baby Houston!

A few weeks ago, we headed up to Nashville to meet my little sister, Britney's, little baby Houston!  We made a fun little road trip out of it and stopped by my sister, Lindsey's house for a night.  The babies had so much fun playing on Sadie's new swing set...and the cooler fall weather was awesome!

Fun times swinging!

Brother just chilling =)

Jackson's turn to swing!  He loved every minute of it!

SO fun!

Then, we said our good-byes and headed north to Nashville...(good-byes are always hard)...

This little guy travels just fine...as long as mommy is in sight =)

YAY!  Welcome to our family baby Houston!  These little rascals will be playing together in no time at all!
I sewed a few little gifts to welcome Houston!

Mimi and Pappa got the babies dressed and we headed out to their park!  (Nike's were the best choice....since Pappa would be tagging along!)

More swinging!

YAY!

Sadie made her way to Nashville too!  Lots of sweet cousin time =)
